     ZE is one of 520 key SOEs designated by the State Council and one of the key high-and-new tech enterprises in National Torch Program. At present.
     ZE was formerly Shenzhen Zhongxing Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (established in 1985), whose first restructuring came in 1993, that was the first domestic instance of a mixed economic pattern of “State holding, authorized (private capital) operation”, which greatly rejuvenated the enterprise and enabled ZE to become a mainstay manufacturer of communication network equipment in China. In 1997, ZE experienced the second restructuring. ZTE Corp., that was 52% owned by ZE, was listed in Shenzhen Stock Exchange. ZTE currently has more than 30,000 employees; this listed company has become a global leader in comprehensive telecommunication equipment manufacturing industry.
     ZE pursues a diversified operational investment strategy, with its main business areas being environmental protection industry, telecommunication equipment ＆ parts manufacturing industry and real estate. ZE currently has two business divisions under it and seven subsidiaries held by it.
     In environmental protection, “Zhongxing Environmental Protection” – comprising of ZEET, Zhongxing Evergreen E&P Engineering, Ltd. and Zhongxing Environmental Instruments, Ltd. – has become a reputable brand in the trade. In 2003, ZE was awarded “Key Enterprise in Environmental Protection” by China Association of Environment Protection Industry (CAEPI); in 2004, ZE General Manager Wei Xingmin was awarded “Prize for Outstanding Contribution to China 's Environmental Protection Industry”.
     ZEET,set up in 2000, mainly engages as the general contractor, subcontractor and operator of municipal sewage treatment, industrial wastewater treatment, mean water recycle, municipal water supply and treatment of hazardous wastes and gases, it also conducts research, development, manufacture and sales of environmental protection instruments and equipment .
     As a key environmental protection enterprise of Guangdong Province , ZEET has a high quality professional team comprising of national level experts, professor level senior engineers, engineers and architects, etc.. The Company has been approved and obtained national “Class-B Qualification of Project Engineering Design (Sewage)”, “Operation Qualification of Environmental Protection Facilities (Domestic Sewage and Industrial Waste Water)” and “Class-A Qualification of Engineering Consultancy” and passed ISO9001 quality system and ISO14001 environmental management system certifications. Meanwhile, the Company is also a director unit of CAEPI. .
